Days 3 and 4 - Pharaoh's Army Got Drowned, Oh, Mary, Don't You Weep! #LoryPaints100 #The100DayProject

Prince is dead. I don't even know what to make of that, so I am not going to try to understand or offer commentary. But that's what happened on Day 3: Day 3 was the day Prince died. You know what got me through that? The Essential Bruce Springsteen, of course. The same thing that gets me through everything else. Duh.

The pieces for days 3 and 4 are poured paintings, but not what I usually do  at all! First of all, they are totally flat! They are vibrant, layered, and not monochromatic at all!

They are in their final stage before mounting: drying from a third and final pour. I think they are going to be quite interesting mounted side by side with a bit of white space separating them.

I have failed in two of my primary goals of the Project: 1) "destroying" a painting (I shouldn't have poured again on this one), and 2) painting with pastels. But there are many days yet to come!
